If you are looking for peace and quiet and open spaces, you'll love The Woolshed. Plenty of character as we have retained various of the original woolshed features - the woolpress now houses the hot water cylinder, a shearing plant graces the wall. The living area floor is natural timber, and the remaining living area walls are clad with native rimu taken from the exterior of a demolished woolshed at Whitehall. The aim was to maintain the original character of the building, the history and essential Kiwi-ness of it, as well as making it as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible. Wrap around north facing deck, with uninterrupted views over farmland and to the Kaimai's. One queen bedroom, and one twin (for extra guests travelling together); quality linen and towels are included. The bathroom has a shower and washing machine, while the living area has 4 large armchairs and flat screen TV with freeview. Check out our extensive DVD library! The kitchen has fridge freezer, oven, microwave, coffee plunger, Panini press etc. Enjoy walking or cycling on the farm tracks; explore the 40 acres of native bush; listen to Tui's and Morepork's (also lots of native wood pigeon, fantails, and kingfishers). Listen to the frogs and watch the dragonflies down at the ponds. Soak up the sun in our Native garden, or fire up the wood fired Pizza oven or BBQ. Plenty to do on the farm and Ian enjoys showing people around!
