Tipapa is a historic country homestead set on 25 hectares of farmland in North Canterbury, offering international visitors an authentic New Zealand rural experience in an elegant and peaceful setting. Located just one hour (80km) north of Christchurch International Airport and approximately three and a half hours (260km) south of Picton, Tipapa is only 400 metres from State Highway One, making it an ideal stopover or multi-night touring base. Guests consistently praise the warmth of the hospitality, tranquil surroundings, interactions with our animals and opportunity to relax in a genuine New Zealand homestead environment. Four rooms are available. All guest rooms are located on the upper floor of the homestead and require stair access. Fireplaces in guest bedrooms have been decommissioned and are not in use.
