This charming lodge and wilderness retreat holds its own among the natural beauty of its lakefront surroundings. Guests can enjoy our fully-equipped kitchen, hot tubs with great views, e-bikes, e-motorbikes and fishing rods for hire, yoga classes, kayak trips in the summer, and a TV room for those looking to relax. Rooms are full made up with electric blankets in the Heritage rooms and hot water bottles and spare blankets in Wilderness rooms for the cooler nights. Our cosy on-site restaurant provides delicious food all day long, with any dietary requirements able to catered for; reservations are required for the 3 course trust the chef dinner service. We use local and organic ingredients and have selected our favourite local and award-winning boutique wines and craft beers to accompany them. Within easy reach of Queenstown, and a 26km scenic drive from Glenorchy, Kinloch Wilderness Retreat is a stones throw from the Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. We offer track transfers and can help with transport and activity bookings. Our guests spend their days hiking (there are over 20 tracks nearby), fishing, ziplining, horse-trekking or simply enjoying the magnificent natural surroundings. We refurbished and renovated everything between 2022 and 2024 and we'll continue to keep making improvements for resilience, comfort, our environment and our guests.
