We love to host our manuhiri /visitors at Moanarua - the little home between two seas. We offer a personal experience with our own special brand of manaakitangi - Maori hospitality. The cottage has been expertly carved showing the gaurdians of our rohe/area and was given a proper opening ensuring a positve peaceful ambience.You are most welcome to use the wrap around decks which have expansive sea views, to take a plunge in the spa or relax in a lounger in the garden. We also really enjoy taking folk out on boat cruises where we can relax with wine and hors d'eouvres as we share the stories of the beautiful Ohiwa harbour and surroundings. There are kayaks for hire as well and nearby a great golf course and some wonderful walks. Whakatane township offers boutique shopping lots of cafe, a cinema, a splendid new library and museum and a really wonderful attraction, Te Manuka Tutahi our whare nui which is open for visitors interested in the history of our area and also presents an amazing light show. This is something not to be missed. White Island trips also very popular.
